For those of you who haven’t yet heard, my husband, Mike, suffered a massive brain bleed and stroke on November 14, 2016. He was airlifted to Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, and then transported to a rehabilitation center near our home until the end of December. Mike has a long road to recovery, working with therapists multiple times a week. The priority in my heart is to care for Mike and provide the best chance for recovery possible for him. Mike will need to learn how to stand, walk and talk again.

Mike and I are Graphic Designers, artists and runners. Our art is what makes Virtual Run World stand out amongst our competitors. We know how important our customers are and we want to continue providing quality artwork for you.

I designed the Miles for Mike medal in Mike’s honor using his artwork and sculpture. In June 2016, Mike was excited to have one of his sculptures bronzed, Lean and Mean, a T-Rex skeleton sculpture. Influenced by his sculpture, the Miles for Mike medal is a 3D T-Rex skeleton and features his painting, The Hunt, on the full color dye sublimation lanyard. Even the font is based on Mike’s penmanship.

We hope and pray that you will join us in the Miles for Mike virtual run by purchasing the medal and earning it by completing miles in Mike’s honor. We also ask for your support and prayers for Mike as he works toward once again walking, running and creating art!

Proceeds from our Miles for Mike medal will go towards Mike’s medical costs and recovery.

Mike also has a Go Fund Me page set up. Donations are greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your support.

I did the “Miles for Mike” virtual event tonight, and I keep him in my thoughts. I hope Mike’s recovery is going well.
    Peace and blessings,

Jim, congratulations on your Miles for Mike medal 🙂 we greatly appreciate your support of Mike’s recovery. We have been quite busy working on rehabilitation. He is now at a VA Inpatient Rehab with intensive 5-6 hours a day of therapy. We are thrilled to have the opportunity and support!!! Keep up the great work and we will update soon on Mike’s progress. Thank you again, Terri
