Earn a Believe In Yourself Virtual Run Medal anytime, anywhere, any distance, run, walk, or bike. We are featuring a Disney, Cinderella flavored theme. This results in a large, shiny, 6 inch pumpkin carriage running medal for you. Why Cinderella? Because she is one happy motivated runner. Snow White – not a runner. Cinderella is a runner, although not the most practical, glass slippers and all. She is happy and motivated. Sure, she had struggles. Sometimes it’s hard to get motivated for exercise. Cinderella started off with the same running issues anyone could have: a slave to housework, negative nagging family members, a bad job and heavy work demand. Then she tossed off the glass slippers and went out for a night run. The rest is history. The moral of the story, ‘running brings you happiness’ and perhaps a pumpkin carriage, a big castle and some mice.

Believe In Yourself 6" Glitter Medal

Believe In Yourself 6″ Glitter Medal
Just dreamin’ about it should make your dreams come true!

With all that in mind, we want to celebrate your run with a large pumpkin carriage medal inscribed with “Believe In Yourself…Make All Your Dreams Come True.” This is not a Snow White or Sleeping Beauty moment, you can’t earn this medal just lying around. Virtual Run World’s Believe In Yourself Virtual Run is a self-motivated run, walk or bike. Get out there. Whatever your desires or dreams, you can achieve them through motivation. We are here to help. This virtual run is for achievements of all levels, whether you are just starting to run, have completed your first event, or have been running for years. Did we say run? Walking or biking gets you to Cinderella status also. Treadmills? Of course, Cinderella had one in her room, up there in the tower. Bike or Exercise Bike? You bet! Complete in one day or multiple days, whatever your goal is, we believe in you!

Virtual Run World believes that your progress is worth celebrating. We are on the honor system, so no proof of your run is required, but we would love for you to share your photos, comments and feedback about your efforts.

Believe In Yourself with Cinderella

During a very cold day in January at Walt Disney World, Florida, I found Cinderella. She had already completed her 5k, was nice and warm and was accepting visitors. I wore my “Believe In Yourself” medal and warm clothing. Cinderella was very impressed with the medal and all the glitter. She said, “Wow, I have a pumpkin coach of my own!” Cinderella was nice enough to autograph the back of my medal. How cool is that!

Are you going to go meet Cinderella for running inspiration? Can you keep up with her? Prince Charming could not keep up with Cinderella (should have used Jeff Galloway’s Training Program) and was the first Disney Prince to be “chicked” by a Disney Princess. Are you training for a runDisney event? How do you train for Walt Disney World Dopey Challenge? That is 48.6 miles of runDisney fun in the sun through all four Walt Disney World parks. Or are you training for a half marathon or full marathon? You train the same way you eat an elephant, one bite at a time. And you train for a runDisney event, or any other event, one mile at a time. What do you do the first time you run hit a 5, 10 or 20 mile training run mark? Is there a personal celebration? There should be! Something to remind you of that milestone. Terri was so desperate for something to show for her first 10 mile training run that she bought Shrinky Dinks to make her own medal to display proudly. Well it was a complete failure, take a look at her Shrinky Dink medal project below.

Shrinky Dink Trial Medals

Awesome right? Now we have Virtual Run World to the rescue. Celebrate with one of our Disney inspired medals for your running motivation or if you ate a whole elephant.

I can’t run till next spring because I tore some tissue in my foot in the Umatilla marathon a few months ago but I do Bike in Triathlons. Are you open to biking distances or just running. You should open a virtual run to both sports. Thanks

      | Reply

      Hey Lonnie,
Our goal and intent is to get people motivated in getting in a little distance by offering a large medal as incentive. You are obviously very motivated, marathons and Triathlons. So yes, bicycle distance is a great idea and perfectly acceptable. Let’s open it up further. Those confined to the use of a wheelchair, will also be accepted. We will try and add the categories in Atheletepath for you to post your time and distance under bicycle.
      Thanks for asking.

April, we really appreciate your support 🙂 As runners ourselves, we love to receive a finishing medal to commemorate our efforts of a challenging run or goal! Since we are artists, we incorporate as much design and thought into the medals to have a successful finished piece of art that runners can treasure 🙂 We love being able to do this and help support worthy charities! Thank you for your comments…happy training!

Yes, these are metal medals. I made some out of chocolate once, but I ate them all 🙂 It does come with a custom dye sublimation lanyard, strong enough to hold all this weight. This will be our first 6 inch metal medal. In May of 2013, we made a 5 inch metal medal for Sage Rat Run, which sent some people to the hospital with neck injuries. So wear a neck brace when you get this one, we don’t want any more hospital visits. Thanks for asking!

This morning I ran a 10k in turnout gear and boots. @virtualrunworld.com I wanted to challenge myself to run in boots, not easy but not as hard as I expected. I have some upcoming events to do in boots so this was my first try running in them. A friend once said to me, “I believe I can do anything”, her conviction impressed me. Over the years I’ve strived to internalize that belief myself. Each goal I achieve fuels my desire to continue to push the boundaries of what I believe is possible for myself. I ran today to support Code 3 for a Cure Foundation work to help firefighters battling cancer. I like the “Never Say Never” challenge but can we also expect a more… how to say it gender netural medal challenge in the future or one like “Fear No Distance”? Thanks for doing what you do. It’s great to have the motivation and support.

I finished my “Believe in Yourself” run today. This was my first virtual run ever and I am so thankful to have had it. I ran a 10k in 61:09. It was no where near where I used to or want to be, but it was better than where I thought I’d be. I ran the MCM October 27, 2013. To reward myself for such a great accomplishment and all my hard work I decided I would take a couple weeks off. Well a couple weeks ended up being almost 4 months and an extra 14lbs. I started training a couple weeks ago for another half marathon and figured I would help some charities and receive more bling while I’m training. It was a really hard 6.2 miles. If I didn’t have this race I think I just may have given up or had done a bunch of walking. I needed it to get me through and keep me going and now I am confident and motivated all over again. It took this race to help get that spark going inside me again. Thank you so much. I will be patiently awaiting my medal to come in April. I also want to say thanks for doing this for “Make a Wish”. I think they are one of the most fabulous charities out there.

Just saw this run, and am very excited, however, have been recovering from foot surgery back in November 2013, was wondering how long this race will be going? Have been doing physical therapy, using an elliptical, and can finally walk (well for the most part) without a limp. It will be a bit before running is an option, but if this run is still going will definitely use it as a starting point to begin spring training (ie walking first). 🙂 Is this run still going?

    Hi,
Just wondering if you will have medals for triathlons? Normally there is no memento for doing a try a tri races (in Canada), which is a disappointment for me. For the first time, I participated in a try a tri last year and got a bib, shirt, however no medal. I hope your company is thinking of designing something specific to triathlons for the near future. Your medals really look cool and great! I am thinking of purchasing for a recent accomplishment I had. Thanks.

Myrna, we try to keep our medal designs as unspecific as possible to allow everyone to enjoy them! But we will keep this in mind for the future designs 🙂

I just received my medal today. It is beautiful! Thank you so much for all of your hard work. It has made my training for Nike women’s San Francisco half marathon 2015 well worth it .

Are these only for runners? I am a walker. What is the distance? I am prepping for the half May 1. Would like something to keep me motivated.

    Hi!
I’ve been eyeing those gorgeous medals for a while, and now I decided to go for them!
I havent been training with the discipline I’d like, so they’re a nice incentive to do better.
Also, this medal in particular I’m getting for my 10 year old niece. I’m gonna tell her we have a walk to finish and at the end, she’ll earn her own medal. I’m super excited about this and can’t wait for the medals to arrive! =)
Keep up the great work! <3
